The Peterson’s Software Developer will work with a team of developers and quality assurance resources to design, build, deliver, and maintain high-quality consumer-applications. In this role you will develop software within existing technology environments, as well as evolve those environments to better serve business goals, user/customer needs, and product goals.


A successful candidate will be a hands-on developer with an established background in web application development. You should have strong technical ability, great communication skills, and a motivation to build amazing products and experiences for users.


  1. Help build and maintain features and functionality for the Peterson’s websites/products (built on .NET, Web Forms, MVC, C#, JS)
  2. Help design/architect and build products that leverage the Peterson’s data sets via SQL and/or Oracle databases.
  3. Own and develop code for assigned stories, as well as peer/lead reviews.
  4. Help research and solve issues with stability, performance, and reported bugs.
  5. Write high-quality, high-performance, and maintainable/scalable code.
  6. Actively participate in product definition, technical architecture/specifications, iterative development, code review, testing, and operations.
  7. Stay informed and up-to-date with new developments and technologies in related field



Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and/or commensurate experience.



3 + years’ experience developing web-based applications



  1. Experience in a range of web technologies, with hands-on experience developing applications and expertise in two (or more) programming languages and frameworks
  2. Passionate about learning new technologies and helping developers build applications
  3. Passion for creative technical problem solving
  4. Experience learning about new technologies and sharing new concepts and skills with larger team
  5. Experience with Visual Studios (VS) and Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
