  1. Assure City permit packages are ready for Professional Engineer’s (PE’s) signature. 
  2. Identify conflicts with existing outside plant facilities, select routing of lines and equipment required for work projects.
  3. Research as-built conditions so City permit packages can be published and certified by Professional Engineer (PE)
  4. Oversee redlines, bore design, make-ready analysis, take field notes, pole surveys, QC prints, preparation of prints and assist in preparing design work with fiber optic cables to include aerial, buried, underground, and building applications.
  5. Review auto generated network designs Allo design guidelines to ensure adherence to Allo design guidelines; comment and suggest corrections or needed alternatives.
  6. Work with City of Lincoln and other municipalities to create permit packages for approval by the City.
  7. Plan and design Fiber To The Home (FTTH) networks following construction and government standards using 3-GIS design software.
  8. Ability to reconcile Bill of Material with Fiber Design Network
  9. Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, aerial photography, and other geographic data for consideration in FTTH design projects.
  10. Mentor team members in civil engineering principals and how they can be FTTH (Fiber To The Home) network design.
  11. Work with Allo design team and review current Plant design to understand principles and practices of current Allo FTTH design.
  12. Ability to travel to other Allo markets (25%) as needed.



Engineer In Training (EIT) Certification by the State Board



Outside Plant (OSP), GIS experience preferred.
