The Compliance Manager leads compliance professionals, programs and initiatives that help the business segment identify, assess, escalate and manage emerging compliance risks.  The Compliance team conducts periodic internal reviews to ensure that internal controls adequately manage compliance risks.    


  1. Recruit, train, manage, motivate and develop Compliance associates.
  2. Continuously improve and mature the compliance program in the first line of defense (first line), by directly and indirectly managing associates that have compliance roles and responsibilities.
  3. Receive Policy Change Notifications and other regulatory guidance from the Corporate Compliance Team. Analyze, interpret and develop implementation plans for how those changes impact the business, and effectively implement compliant procedures and processes accordingly.
  4. Determine whether regulatory changes as described in #3 impact operational or technology areas (or both) and work with leadership of those areas to ensure necessary procedures and processes are implemented.
  5. Develop strategic and tactical plans to improve the first line’s compliance testing program and establish measurable goals and objectives for the team that drive results.
  6. Collaborate with business, technology, security, vendor and audit professionals to facilitate compliance risk assessments, respond to audits, remediate compliance risks, and ensure the proper implementation of any system changes.
  7. Communicate and escalate to the business leadership and Corporate Compliance Team any risk or compliance issues or trends that are identified.
  8. Monitor and validate adherence to internal controls and escalate and communicate issues to the appropriate level of leadership.
  9. Maintain and continuously expand on knowledge of industry related regulatory requirements, contract requirements, compliance and risk management best practices.
  10. The Compliance Manager (and other applicable business segment Compliance team members) will report to NDS Senior Management and Corporate Compliance any identified trends, discuss any policy and/or regulatory changes, provide updates on training, and provide updates on any information being shared externally with regulators on a schedule communicated by their supervisor.
  11. Evaluate compliance team training needs and execute to ensure associates are qualified to fill compliance team roles.
  12. Evaluate first line practices, and make recommendations to improve policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.



  1. Bachelor’s Degree in related field.



  1. 5+ years in any of the following fields: Compliance, audit, risk management, business operations, or governance.



  1. Proven track record of handling compliance program development, enhancements and remediation.
  2. Ability to analyze complex regulations and their applicability to internal processes or products.
  3. Effective short and long-range planning skills.
  4. Ability to adapt to highly diversified and changing environment.
  5. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while leading team members and achieving results.
  6. Excellent oral, written, negotiation and presentation skills.
  7. Ability to communicate complex concepts.
  8. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with ability to achieve goals.
  9. Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.
  10. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects, and work within critical timelines.
  11. Strong leadership ability and personnel development skills.
