Responsibilities

  1. Work on the continuing development of an all-digital IP based head end, including satellite receivers, equipment racking, provisioning, and testing;
  2. Assist to maintain the IPTV core to including unicast and multicast video traffic;
  3. Support and maintain Windows based servers used with the IPTV platform;
  4. Support Set Top Boxes by testing new client releases and hardware;
  5. Work directly with the NOC and Technical Support staff to troubleshoot IPTV issues;
  6. Maintain a very high standard of wiring management from both a network and cosmetic perspective;
  7. Maintain equipment and video signals located at the head end and remote HUTs, COs, and HUBs;
  8. Help with the technical liaison with the set-top providers, middleware integrators, and monitoring system providers;
  9. Support new product feature launches including Video on Demand, OTT, and wireless features, etc.;
  10. Taking and deciphering packet captures of network traffic;
  11. After hours on-call support will be required;
  12. The ability to work projects with minimal supervision and self-education is a must;
  13. Maintain, testing and reporting of the EAS system for emergency alerts;
  14. Attention to detail and documentation is critical;
  15. Assist in maintenance and monitoring of critical system infrastructure including HVAC, DC Power, AC Power, Generators, and Battery Backup Systems;

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

At least 2 years’ education in an Information Technology and/or Networking or equivalent certifications.

 

EXPERIENCE:  

At least 2 years’ experience in an advanced technical support environment.

At least 2 years’ experience with IP networking.
