Overview

The Courseware Developer creates and edits courseware content. This includes, but is not limited to, help demonstration videos, training videos, knowledgebase articles, and interactive e-learning content.

Responsibilities

  1. Creating new help videos.
  2. Video editing and production.
  3. Uploading content to media repositories (Vimeo, RWU Site, etc).
  4. Involved in quality assurance review for all content types.
  5. Responsible for researching and prioritizing areas of RenWeb in need of new or updated content.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Associate’s Degree preferred. Equivalent experience considered.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  1. Experience in creating help documentation.
  2. Live training or presentation experience.

 

COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

  1. PC/Windows proficiency and Internet browser familiarity (IE 6/7/8/9, Firefox).
  2. Excellent written and verbal skills.
  3. Friendly, courteous and service-oriented.
  4. Ability and willingness to learn to use the following software tools as well as any other software tools necessary for the completion of a given task:
  • Adobe Captivate,
  • Adobe Photoshop,
  • Camtasia Studio,
  • Final Cut Pro,
  • MindTouch (platform for RWU Site),
  • HTML, and
  • CSS
  1. Ability to learn any area of RenWeb to the level of creating a clear, complete and concise article or video explaining and demonstrating the area.
