The Data Entry Specialist operates a keyboard or other data entry device to enter data into computer. This position also enters alphabetic, numeric data from electronic and paper source documents into computer using data entry device, such as keyboard and optical scanner, and following format displayed on screen. In addition, the Data Entry Specialist compares data entered with electronic and paper source documents, or re-enters data in verification format on screen to detect errors and re-enters correct data. The work is performed according to established methods, procedures and practices.
Degree preferred but not required.
Minimum of two years of experience in data entry, primarily entering alpha/numerical data. Must demonstrate competency by passing a data entry test, specifically alpha/numeric (10 key).
