  • Overview

    The Associate Accountant I performs daily balancing, processing invoice payments, researching credit card payments, and other miscellaneous cash and general accounting functions.


    1. Reconcile and process daily invoice activity, including invoice returns.
    2. Process miscellaneous deposits.
    3. Research and respond to credit card inquiries and chargebacks.
    4. Process NBS accounts payable invoices.
    5. Monitor cash and other related files or requests.
    6. Research and respond to inquiries from other NBS departments on payment related activity.
    7. Assist with various mailings from the accounting team.
    8. Provide support to other Accounting staff members as necessary.
    9. Other duties as may be assigned.



    Associates degree in Accounting or related area. (4-year degree accepted)



     1+ years of accounting experience



    1. Good skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to update and create simple Excel documents.
    2. Ability to maintain accountability, confidentiality, ethics, integrity and share information with resources appropriately.
    3. Ability to work independently, as well as to work cooperatively within own team and with other teams to achieve common goals.
    4. Attention to detail.
    5. Possess good judgement in dealing with business duties.
    6. Able to be flexible and adaptable with assigned tasks.
    7. Have appropriate oral and written communication skills.
    8. Knowledge of accounting practice and procedures.
