Interns work as functioning members of Nelnet’s marketing team, which operates similarly to an in-house advertising agency. Our interns gain an understanding of how a marketing department functions at a large, publically-traded company.
The intern program consists of 12 or more weeks of hands-on work experience and education within an open, collaborative environment. Our flexible hours allow interns to receive the benefits of a dynamic internship program while still meeting their university or college requirements. Interns will become familiar with a multitude of brands under the Nelnet name while gaining insight about the processes and structure of a large holding company.
The interactive intern will provide support for email and website design, editing, and front-end development under the guidance of an immediate supervisor.
Must be a junior or senior with minimum one to two years in a marketing or advertising field of study or equivalent experience.
Required Experience with HTML5, CSS3; familiarity with Bootstrap, Github, and jQuery; proficiency in Dreamweaver or other code editing software, Photoshop, Illustrator, and browser testing and troubleshooting tools. Experience with Wordpress and/or Foundation is a plus.
Prior internship experience preferred.
