  • Overview


    The Facilitation team is a learner-focused group of trainers who are dedicated to delivering effective training to both new hires and existing associates. Facilitators understand the importance of learning styles and use multiple teaching methods in the classroom. Facilitators will work closely with Leadership and SMEs in their assigned content areas to stay current with procedures and processes.


    1. Commit to Performance Based Organization (PBO) & Easy To Do Business With (ETDBW) philosophy.
    2. Contribute to Continuous Process Improvement.
    3. Identify trends and problems.
    4. Plan, organize & implement special training or document projects as required.
    5. Communicate with other trainers throughout Nelnet.
    6. Document and provide training when new policies, procedures or regulations are implemented.
    7. Train new and existing associates and serve as their resource on core processes. Provide one on one training if necessary.
    8. Review and assess employees’ progress using learning materials and inform supervisors of progress.
    9. Develop department’s member’s skills and aiding in the process of career planning.
    10. Maintain documentation of processes, procedures and regulations on intranet.
    11. Serve as liaison to company wide training department.
    12. Work with analysts, supervisors and team leads regarding technical training objectives.
    13. Review and ascertain quality standards on department training and assessment materials.
    14. Schedule and monitor new employee and skills training classes.
    15. Special assignments as assigned.



    Bachelor’s degree preferred. 



    2-5 years general work experience preferred including training or course development experience.
