  • Overview

    The packing team will be responsible for the vitally important last stage of the fulfillment process. The team will work together within the verification and packing roles to ensure all orders contain all purchased items and are packed appropriately to eliminate damage during shipping. A Verifier will finish the pick process, confirm accuracy, print shipping labels, and the Packers will complete and tape finished orders. The team will collectively work with the Floor Supervisor to ensure that all orders are sorted to the correct outgoing pallets. A team of 3-4 individuals will fill this position, and report to the Floor Supervisor. All team members will start with our core 8:00am-5:00pm, but some shifts will move to an 11am-8pm format in mid-July depending on order demand and availability.

     

    This is a Nelnet temporary position.

    Responsibilities

    1.          Fill the order with the final Stage 4 fast-moving SKUs

      • Verify all items are scanned into each order and correct
      • Check weight of box and match to correct weight as QC
      • Print shipping labels for orders and affix to correct box
      • Keep the pack queue at a consistent level to eliminate downtime
      • Organize all items in the box to reduce damage potential to products
      • Filling completed orders with air and paper void fill, taping up to finish order
      • Ensuring that all boxes are tightly packed to eliminate damage to products
      • Moving packed ‘bundls’ to the sort queue for pallet and multi-bundl sorting
      • Make multi-bundl shell boxes and accurately sort multi-bundls to be shipped together
      • Create shipping labels for multi-bundl shell boxes, affix to taped box, move to pallet
      • Scan order barcodes through pack process to close fulfillment
      • Keeping the workspace clean and clutter-free
      • Assist Floor Supervisor with various roles as needed

    Our fulfillment season starts June 14th with 2 days of training and runs through Aug 31st. Fulfillment will begin June 18th filling our queue of pre-orders from May/early June so our fulfillment team is operating at full capacity for the entire summer.

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE:

    1-2 years job experience preferred.

    1. Results oriented, customer service driven individual who can hit the ground running and work at a fast pace.
    2. VERY high attention to detail and accuracy are a must. Great organizational skills, dexterity, and sense of urgency.
    3. Needs to be able to meet the physical demands of a warehouse environment, including continual standing and movement during the fulfillment process, with light lifting and occasional heavy lifting of boxes.
    4. Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in team-based project teams to achieve common goals.
    5. Outside-the-box thinker, passionate about problem-solving, and possesses an entrepreneurial spirit.
    6. Ability to maintain the highest level of accountability and integrity and to share information with resources appropriately.
    7. High standards for productivity with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple competing task and demands. Utilization of effective organization and prioritization skills to complete assignments within established time frames.
