  • Overview

    This position will be expected to perform a variety of accounting processes related to accounts payable.  Tasks include processing invoices and payments, analyzing vendor and account data, providing quality customer support by fulfilling research and processing requests.

    Responsibilities

    1. Analyze and process Accounts Payable invoices for payment
    2. Assist in the Purchasing process for large company purchases
    3. Review and process employee expense reports
    4. Reconcile general ledger accounts using Excel spreadsheets
    5. Answer accounting-related questions to internal and external customers
    6. Provide support to other Accounting staff members as necessary
    7. Develop and communicate solutions for continuous process improvement within the job function

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, preferred
    2. Associate’s Degree in Accounting

     

    EXPERIENCE:

    1. Three years or more prior accounting experience required
    2. Reconciling experience, accounting systems experience

    1. Excellent focus on attention to detail
    2. Understanding of fundamental accounting concepts
    3. High standard for productivity with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
    4. Ability to maintain the highest level of accountability, confidentiality, ethics and integrity and to share information with resources appropriately
    5. Utilization of effective organization and prioritization skills to complete assignments within established time frames
    6. Ability to work independently, as well as to work cooperatively within own team and outside teams to achieve common goals
    7. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
