  • Overview

    The purpose of this position is to install string, MSTs and fiber cable.

    Responsibilities

    1. Install/blow tonable locate string line in underground conduit systems
    2. Use string line to pull fiber cable/MST’s through underground conduit systems`
    3. Some hand digging with shovels will be required
    4. Restoration of disturbed soil/ grass/landscaping

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE:

    Prefer 3 years of experience in underground cable installations.

    Ability to read cable design plans is preferable, not mandatory.

     

    COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

    Individual must work safely and assist in keeping work areas clean

    Good driving record

    Capable of lifting 50 pounds

    Must work well with others and be able to communicate with the crew

    Must be able to work outside in all seasons
