  • Overview

    The NDS Risk and Compliance Analyst II will compliance risks, develop continuous monitoring activities, investigate and assist in remediation of issues, and ensure operational compliance with governmental regulations, contracts, internal policies, standards and procedures.    

    Responsibilities

    1. Maintain knowledge of applicable government regulations and industry best practices.
    2. Assist in developing and completing compliance and risk monitoring activities to ensure compliance with consumer protection laws, regulations, corporate policies, corporate standards, and business line procedures and work guides.
    3. Partner with Compliance Testers to monitor activities to ensure compliance with consumer protection laws, regulations, corporate policies
    4. Assist in the development of and prepare internal reporting by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data related to risk analysis, compliance reviews, monitoring, and remediation efforts.
    5. Partner with the business units to assist with continuous process improvements and provide recommendations for improving internal procedures, work guides and controls to be compliant with regulations.
    6. Participate in responding to internal and external client requests regarding the application of laws and regulations and Corporate Policy and Standards to the business lines.
    7. Participate the development of procedures and work for the business lines, and if applicable, work with the Compliance Testers to help design control testing for effectiveness.
    8. Partner with the business units for internal and external audit support.
    9. Establish and train others on centralized tools used in risk management and compliance activities.
    10. Develop procedures and workflows for the NDS Risk and Compliance department. Collaborate with Global Training to ensure completion of procedures.
    11. Track efforts to ensure corrective actions are taken to remediate risks and compliance weaknesses or areas of improvement identified through audits and examinations.
    12. Develop and maintain a strong internal network to investigate, escalate and remediate risk and compliance issues.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

    Bachelor’s degree required.  Preferred fields of study:  Business, Political Science, or Law

     

    EXPERIENCE:

    1. 2 - 4 years proven audit, compliance, risk management, financial services operations and/or regulatory experience or equivalent.
    2. Experience in evaluating operations for compliance with regulations and internal policies or procedures.
    3. Working knowledge of consumer lending regulations, including but not limited to:
      1. Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010
      2. Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices Act
      3. Truth-In-Lending Act
      4. Fair Credit Reporting Act
      5. Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
      6. Equal Credit Opportunity Act
      7. Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act
      8. E-Sign Act
    4. Proven experience in an analytical or research position or related experience.
    5. Extensive experience with Excel and MS SharePoint.

    5. Strong and extensive experience with Excel, Word, SharePoint and other Microsoft Office products.
    6. Excellent organization, documentation and coordination skills.
