    The Operational Risk Analyst will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the corporate-wide operational risk framework. The position provides significant contributions to the development, implementation and enforcement of operational risk policies, procedures, and programs designed to identify, assess, monitor and report on operational risk that may impact objectives.      

    Responsibilities

    1. Maintain and continuously improve upon the operational risk management framework, policies and procedures.
    2. Communicate with and train relevant audiences on the operational risk management framework, policies and procedures.
    3. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with associates across the organization, act as an advisor, and collaborate with multiple levels of management.
    4. Assist and challenge the business segments with identifying the relevant operational risks inherent in their activities, products and systems, risk interdependencies, and areas of control or risk management weakness.
    5. Assist the business segments with assessing and improving on the existing mitigating controls and to create new controls as necessary.
    6. Collect and consolidate business segment operational risk data.
    7. Develop effective risk-based monitoring of business line key operational risks and control indicators; ensure key trends, issues, watch items are brought forward into Management summaries clearly and articulately.
    8. Create and present operational risk reporting tailored to the relevant audience (i.e. board of directors, senior management, risk management committees).
    9. Maintain personal and professional competency through appropriate participation in professional organizations and continuing education opportunities.
    10. Drive, adopt and enforce best practices in risk management tools, templates and processes.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

     

    1. Bachelor Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience and education.

     

    EXPERIENCE:

     

    1. Minimum 3 years of risk management experience
    2. Experience with operational risk management frameworks and execution
    3. Experience with risk management frameworks, including three lines of defense
    4. Experience with the preparation and delivery of presentations to senior executives
    5. Experience with the design and execution of risk and control self-assessment programs
    6. Experience with risk measurement, analysis, risk appetite and key risk indicators
    7. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and various levels of management
    8. Experience in an analytical or research position or related experience
    9. Experience in business process analysis, documenting gaps and process standardizations
    10. Experience in the design, development, compilation, analysis, generation of and distribution of business reports
