The Support Specialist is an integral part of our team and fulfills a number of key roles related to customer service, operations, lead generation and reporting. 


    1. Primary accountability for providing superior customer service to the employees of BenefitEd’s clients through email and phone support.
    2. Assist in monthly operational activities such as working with student loan servicers to verify accounts, working with refunded payments, and assisting accounting with customer related questions.
    3. Generate lead lists from research and other lead generation tools used by BenefitEd. This may include social media exploration, lead list definition and acquisition, and other creative means to obtain contact listings for our target audience.
    4. Assist direct sales at both Ameritas & Nelnet with using a designated CRM by assisting in keeping CRM up to date.
    5. Research conferences, speaking opportunities, and various associations to qualify lead generation and market reach.
    6. Provide regular reporting from CRM and other sources related to BenefitEd’s goals for sales and sales activity.
    7. Assist direct sales at Ameritas & Nelnet with updates and assistance on what additional activity is needed to meet goals.
    8. Provide regular consolidated reporting from multiple CRMs and other sources related to BenefitEd’s goals for sales and sales activity.
    9. Become an expert at navigating BenefitEd’s CRM tool.
    10. Participate in special projects or committees and other related duties as assigned by team leader.



    Experience with customer service, CRM, reporting and lead generation is preferred.

    7. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    8. Strong knowledge of BenefitEd.
    9. General computer skills including Microsoft Office applications, e-mail, and Internet.
