  • Overview

    An Access Management Analyst at Nelnet provides daily ongoing administration of the Nelnet network and systems environment.  These associates are primarily responsible for managing a complex Active Directory environment, which supports multiple teams throughout the company.  Excellent customer service skills and expertise in resolving technical issues that are not able to be resolved at the first level of support. Act as a customer advocate and liaison at all times as well as mentor first level Customer Service representatives.

     

    This position requires work in support of the Company’s contract with the United States Department of Education (“ED”). As such, the United States Government requires that any applicant for this position must complete United States Government security clearance. Effective June 1, 2018, ED has informed Nelnet that security clearance applications for foreign nationals are not being accepted or processed. In light of this direction from ED, Nelnet will be unable to hire applicants without United States citizenship for such positions.

    Responsibilities

    AN ACCESS ADMINISTRATION ANALYST WILL…

    1. Analyze and complete access requests while providing excellent service to our customers
    2. Resolve Active Directory-related issues or escalate to other technical teams if necessary
    3. Provide access to servers, distribution lists, Exchange mailboxes, and security groups based on corporate standards and guidelines
    4. Assist with access audits as needed
    5. Serves as a liaison between other technical staff, management, users, and vendors regarding service requests, usage, standards, security, and other technical matters
    6. Resolve escalated support calls and customer issues not resolved at the first level of customer service support
    7. Participate in on call rotation for high priority issues that occur during and outside regular business hours

    Qualifications

    YOU NEED TO HAVE…

     

    1. Experience with Exchange email and Active Directory user/group administration.
    2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical clients
    3. Experience with providing technical support in a corporate environment
    4. Strong organization skills and an ability to follow issues/tasks to completion
    5. A passion for providing great customer service
    6. Ability to work well among a diverse team of individuals as a team player.
    7. Positive attitude with all customers and co-workers.
    8. Ability to work with a minimum of direct supervision.
    9. Continual learning mindset and professional goal
    10. Ability to obtain a security clearance

     

    IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU ALSO HAD…

     

    1. Associate degree in Information Technology or related field – bachelor’s degree preferred
    2. 4+ years of experience with Microsoft server operating systems and Exchange
    3. Experience and knowledge of Identity and Access Management principles and systems
    4. Experience in development of automation with Orchestrator
    5. Experience in development of task automation with PowerShell
    6. Advanced understanding of network concepts and environments
    7. Technical Certifications (MCSA/MCSE, A+, Network+, Security+, etc)
    8. Experience with Azure Active Directory
    9. Experience and knowledge of Single Sign-On technologies and protocols
    10. Agile project methodology experience
