The Scrum Master has a working knowledge and experience with the Scrum and Kanban agile frameworks and a level of familiarity or experience with other frameworks as necessary (i.e. XP, Lean, SAFe, etc.).  Often considered a coach for the team, the Scrum Master is responsible to ensure a team lives by the values and practices of the agile framework in use, and assists the team in understanding and practicing it efficiently.  A Scrum Master’s main deliverable is a high performing team that continues to deliver continual increased business value.   This position requires work in support of the Company’s contract with the United States Department of Education (“ED”).  As such, the United States Government requires that any applicant for this position must complete United States Government security clearance.  Effective June 1, 2018, ED has informed Nelnet that security clearance applications for foreign nationals are not being accepted or processed.  In light of this direction from ED, Nelnet will be unable to hire applicants without United States citizenship for such positions.

The Change Manager ensures that all changes are managed in a controlled manner, including standard changes and emergency maintenance relating to business processes, applications, and infrastructure. This includes change standards and procedures, impact assessment, prioritization and authorization, emergency changes, tracking, reporting, closure, and documentation.   In addition to managing changes in our infrastructure environment, the Change manager will also be involved with release management for our client-facing applications.  This includes the monitoring of release progress through the entire pipeline, assuring quality standards are consistently met at each stage gate and coordinating releases and teams at the portfolio, program, and team levels.
