Provide support to the Corporate Accounting team while experiencing the culture and activities or a large company’s accounting department. The student filling this position will handle a wide range of finance, accounting, and system related tasks.

This is an entry level position that requires basic knowledge of civil or electrical engineering and will be working under the guidance of registered professional engineers. This is a 20 hour per week paid internship with core working hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm in our Lincoln office location.
The Consumer Lending Interns will experience Nelnet’s business and culture through hands-on work experiences. The interns will have the opportunity to develop both backend and front-end software, including test automation, all in a Microservices architecture. They will work in a Kanban/Agile environment with a strong DevOps culture, as well be integral parts of the team. The technology stack will include Node.JS, Postgres SQL, AWS, Kubernetes, Containers/Docker, among others. This position will accomplish tasks and activities related to goals, plans, and competencies agreed upon by the interns and his/her assigned supervisor.
