We are looking for IT Software Architects for the Nelnet Application Security team to develop and work collaboratively with innovative IT Delivery teams and Business Operational areas implement the NDS Application Security program, improve the security posture of our development process, and coach development teams on application security topics.   This position requires work in support of the Company’s contract with the United States Department of Education (“ED”).  As such, the United States Government requires that any applicant for this position must complete United States Government security clearance.  Effective June 1, 2018, ED has informed Nelnet that security clearance applications for foreign nationals are not being accepted or processed.  In light of this direction from ED, Nelnet will be unable to hire applicants without United States citizenship for such positions.

Identity and Access Management Developer is responsible for designing, developing and supporting key applications for Identity provisioning and governance of user Identities and entitlement privileges. The developer will build Role Based (RBAC) and Attribute Based Access Control strategies (ABAC) for access to sensitive systems. This role also will build tools to automate provisioning, reviewing, and termination of Access, within the SailPoint Identity IQ Solution and provide technical assistance and direction to the team in the design and implementation of reporting. This role requires the competency to work closely with IAM operations and IAM DevOps team members to facilitate knowledge transfer of developed technologies and supporting production issues.   This position requires work in support of the Company’s contract with the United States Department of Education (“ED”).
